Vehicle Reservations Program Information
Alexander Springs & Silver Glen Springs Recreation Areas, Ocala National Forest
The 2025 vehicle reservation season has ended. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, vehicle reservations help manage congestion, improve safety, and ensure a smooth visitor experience at Alexander Springs and Silver Glen Springs Recreation Areas.
Vehicle reservations are not required again until Memorial Day Weekend 2027, when the program will resume for weekends and holidays throughout the summer season.
The reservation system—first introduced at Silver Glen Springs in 2023 and expanded to Alexander Springs in 2024—has proven to be a successful way to enhance guest experiences. With advance reservations, visitors enjoy guaranteed entry without waiting in long lines.
Reservation fees also directly support the ongoing care and maintenance of the springs, helping protect these natural treasures for years to come.

When is a vehicle reservation required?
The vehicle reservation will only be required on weekends and holidays throughout the summer —that’s every Saturday, Sunday and holiday, starting on Memorial Day weekend, May 24, through Labor Day weekend, September 1, 2025.
How much does a vehicle reservation cost?
The vehicle reservation fee is $20 per vehicle in addition to standard admission fees. Admission fees are charged per person and can only be purchased on the day of visit at the gate house.
How many vehicle reservations are available each day?
During summer weekends and holidays, the 115-space parking lot at Alexander Springs and the 95-space lot at Silver Glen Springs consistently reach capacity. It is advised to purchase a vehicle reservation ahead of time.
When can I park for free?
Vehicle reservations are NOT required on weekdays — with the exception of the the following holidays:
Memorial Day (May 26),
Juneteenth (June19),
Independence Day Holiday (July 4),
and Labor Day (September 1).
Where can I purchase a parking reservation pass?
Passes must be purchased online up to 14 days in advance of visit, starting on May 24, 2025.
How do I prove I have a parking reservation when I arrive?
Print or save a digital copy of the vehicle reservation and present to staff at the gate house. Cell service is unavailable in the area.
Can I cancel or reschedule my vehicle reservation if my plans change?
Vehicle reservations are refundable up to 48 hours in advance of the reservation date.
What else can I do in the area if Silver Glen Springs is sold out?
